Founded in 1981 as a commercial company, Nuova Trasmissione soon evolved into a manufacturing enterprise, initially specializing in the production of toothed pulleys, both standard and custom-made. Over the years, the company expanded its product range, focusing on precision gear machining and establishing itself in markets with the highest standards of quality and technological innovation.
We operate state-of-the-art machinery to ensure top-level quality. We manufacture gears and worm screws with heat treatment and grinding, managing the entire production cycle in-house, except for the heat treatment phase.
All processes are controlled using CNC technologies: precision gear cutting, skiving and grinding, ground worm screws for gearboxes, toothed pulleys, and technical transmission couplings.

Nuova Trasmissione is founded as a commercial business specializing in the sale of industrial transmission components.
1981 - 1990
The first production department is established, dedicated to the gear cutting of toothed pulleys.
1990 - 2000
CNC turning and finishing departments are introduced to expand and complete our pulley offering in the market.
2000 - 2010
These are the years of major production growth. The purchase of 6 CNC gear cutting machines and a full set of carbide hobs leads to a significant improvement in the quality and speed of our gear cutting processes, allowing us to expand our presence in the gear market. Quality control is enhanced with the acquisition of a 3D measuring machine.
2011 - 2015
Involute grinding becomes part of our production capabilities. The success of this process quickly leads to the expansion of the department from one to three Reishauer machines, along with the setup of a dedicated metrology room equipped with two gear measuring machines for profile inspection.
2016 - 2023
Continuous growth in both the number and quality of machines leads to the expansion of our facility, which now covers over 10,000 m2. This includes a reorganization of departments, resulting in two new metrology rooms, a large turning area, and two separate departments for gear cutting and grinding.
2024 - TODAY
The continuous updating and integration of CNC machines and equipment result in a machine park of over 60 units.

Our key sustainability initiatives:
Renewable Energy: Our production is powered by a 645 kW photovoltaic system, which covers over 50% of our energy needs and significantly reduces our carbon footprint.
Eco-Friendly Lubricants: We use vegetable-based coolants, which are considerably less polluting than traditional ones. This choice helps reduce environmental impact and creates a healthier working environment for our team.
Energy Efficiency: Heating and cooling are managed by high-efficiency methane heat pumps, ensuring optimal energy use. We have also replaced window glass with Argon-filled thermal double glazing to improve insulation and reduce energy loss.
Smart Lighting: Since 2013, we have adopted exclusively LED lighting systems, combined with motion and twilight sensors. This approach allows us to optimize energy consumption by providing light only where and when needed.
Innovative Technologies and Systems: We have implemented additional cutting-edge solutions to improve energy efficiency, including vacuum filters for grinding machines, high-efficiency IE4 motor compressors, and extraction systems with automatic valves and inverters for optimized consumption.
