Technical Support

Our technical department offers clients advanced co-design and consulting services on products, materials, heat treatments, and surface finishes. Thanks to specialized software for design, calculation, and simulation (SolidWorks, Kisssoft, Esco), we support transmission verification and provide recommendations for innovative manufacturing solutions, including optimized coupling systems.

We analyze samples provided by clients to identify possible technical improvements or design variations, always aiming to optimize the performance of the final product. Our calculation tools allow for in-depth analysis of contact surfaces, helping us determine the most suitable machining or finishing processes.

Material Analysis and Testing

Upon request, we perform specific tests such as hardness testing, metallographic and spectrographic analysis, ultrasonic and microscopic inspections.

These examinations allow us to verify the compliance of materials with customer specifications, ensuring the optimal choice in terms of quality, performance, and reliability.

Dimensional Inspections

We have two climate-controlled metrology rooms equipped with the following precision machines and instruments:

  • 4 Gear Measuring Machines (3 Klingelnberg, 1 Wenzel)
  • Zeiss Contura 3D Coordinate Measuring Machine
  • Taylor Hobson Surface Roughness Testers
  • Vici-Vision Optical Scanners
  • Taylor Hobson Profilometer
  • Mitutoyo Profile Projector
  • Ernst Hardness Tester

We are able to perform dimensional verification of customer-supplied samples and certify measurements related to our in-house production.

Contract Manufacturing

We perform contract manufacturing on customer-supplied parts, including gear cutting, heat treatment, skiving, grinding, and other specialized operations.

Kanban Management

We offer a finished product storage service with scheduled pickups based on customer needs, ensuring efficient and timely supply management.

Dedicated Equipment

We design and manufacture customized equipment, including:

  • Workpiece gripping systems, collet holders, and devices for Reishauer grinding machines, with high-precision collets for internal or shaft clamping of gear-cutting parts.
  • Clamps for self-centering chucks on CNC lathes, made from C45 steel and shaped to non-standard profiles, also suitable for induction hardening.
  • High-performance solid carbide gear hobs, ideal for roughing high-alloy steels or skiving operations on treated materials up to 65 HRC.

We also maintain a large inventory of solid carbide blanks, pre-machined with finished holes, faces, and collars, ranging from Ø 24 to Ø 80 mm and available with various numbers of cutting edges. This stock allows us to produce gear hobs quickly, improving production efficiency and meeting urgent customer needs.
All gear hobs are manufactured in AAA or AAAA class to ensure the highest quality standards.

Finally, we produce high-clamping force arbors and gear hob holders, both standard and custom-designed according to customer specifications.

Packaging and Shipping

At Nuova Trasmissione, special attention is given to the packaging phase. The dimensions of the cartons used have been standardized, and all shipments are palletized using 1/4 EUR, 1/2 EUR, or EUR formats.

We also carry out special packaging according to procedures and materials provided by our clients, and we support them in finding the best solution that meets their storage and handling criteria, while ensuring protection and cost savings.

Packaged materials are handled exclusively with pallet jacks, avoiding manual operations that could damage the contents and ensuring maximum protection during transport and delivery.
